Welcome to my new website. I come from a family of good cooks and have been experimenting in the kitchen since I was 6. My obsession with food has taken me round the world as a professional private chef to a glitzy clientele. Motherhood finally grounded me and now I run a vegetarian and mainly gluten-free artisan market food-stall in the alternative town of Totnes. Here, the challenge has been to make healthy vegan, lower-sugar and dairy-free food look and taste marvellous. It was my customers who first inspired me to collect the recipes into the Deliciously Conscious Cookbook and I hope you will enjoy them too. They all come with useful 'free-from' options, so now everyone can have their cake and eat it!
My cooking style is robust on the flavour front and conceptually bold, I love blurring the lines between sweet and savoury, classic and the unexpected. I am inspired by cutting edge food culture and can often be found experimenting with a pile of organic vegetables and cake tins in my Devon farmhouse kitchen. I enjoy teaching and demonstrating, offering tips and advice on how to negotiate the nutritional maze.
More than this, l've discovered that delicious healthy eating is about living closer to myself and my community, which is a fascinating and challenging journey of ever deepening relationship.
